In addition to a number of infrastructure upgrades, Hagerman Construction Corp. was charged with adding 2,200 upper deck seats, 24 suites, club seats, food service and restrooms. Another component of the project involved constructing new access to the arena floor and reconfiguring the arena level seating. A significant element of the construction work involved raising the existing roof (roughly 2 million pounds) 45 feet vertically in order to accommodate the new upper deck seating. This was a first-of-its-kind construction feat for an existing arena in the United States.
