GDH constructed the $103 million, 130-acre, Franklin Community High School, designed to accommodate 1500-1800 students, with core-area capabilities to support expansion to over 2000. Its 461,500-square-foot building features five connected academic pods housing a media center, auditorium, large group space, classrooms, science labs, and a cafeteria. Athletic amenities such as a gym, workout studios, weight rooms, and an edgeless, Olympic-size pool can be found inside. Outside, the expansive athletic area includes two baseball fields, two softball fields, tennis courts, soccer fields, press boxes, marching band practice field, athletic support buildings, additional outdoor education space, and a football field surrounded by a track.
GDH is converting the original high school into the new $33 million Franklin Community 7th and 8th Grade Center, to reach completion in December 2008.
