Mark Hagerman
CEO, The Hagerman Group


Mark joined his father, Ted Hagerman, at the firm in 1967 and became President in 1978. Today, as a 42-year veteran of the industry and the CEO of The Hagerman Group, Mark has successfully broadened the firm’s role as a full-range provider of construction services to both the public and private sectors. Highly involved in the community, Mark is a lifetime member of Trinity English Lutheran Church and is currently on the board of directors for the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Ivy Tech Community College Foundation, Northeast Indiana Corporate Council and Valparaiso University.

 

Jeffrey Hagerman
President, The Hagerman Group


Before joining the family business, Jeff was a Project Manager with a large construction firm in Ohio for several years. In 1997, Jeff returned to Indiana as a Project Manager for Hagerman. He became Executive Vice President of Hagerman Construction Corp.’s Indianapolis branch in 2003 and assumed the role of President of The Hagerman Group in 2008. Jeff works closely with his father, Mark, as they together lead the three companies of The Hagerman Group. Jeff is a board member for the United Way of Central Indiana Success By 6 Leadership Council, the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce Economic Growth Council and the Indiana Construction Roundtable.

 

Bruce Molter
President, Hagerman Inc.
Exec. VP, Hagerman Construction Corp., Fort Wayne


Bruce is a 21-year Hagerman employee and 26-year construction veteran. In 1992, he became President of a new company within The Hagerman Group called Hagerman Inc. Under his leadership, Hagerman Inc. grew to become the successful general contracting division of The Hagerman Group that it is today. Bruce serves on the board for Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana and is active with IPFW as an Associate Professor and on the Connecting Mathematics for Elementary Teachers (CMET) Advisory Board. He is also an American Society of Professional Estimators member, a Design-Build Institute of America member and is certified by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering.

 

Nathan P. Fink
VP of Operations, The Hagerman Group


Nate joined The Hagerman Group 30 years ago as a Field Engineer. Today as Vice President of Operations, he is responsible for the successful completion of The Hagerman Group’s Northeast Indiana projects. A Professional Engineer, Nate serves on Top Notch of Northeast Indiana’s board of directors, Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana’s Labor Relations and Economic Development committees and Indiana Construction Association’s Labor Relations committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Lutheran Foundation and is active with Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Habitat for Humanity and Fort Wayne Downtown Rotary Club.

 

Dave Hall
Exec. VP of Corporate Development, The Hagerman Group


Dave has been with The Hagerman Group for 24 years and in the industry for 35. In his new role overseeing corporate development, he is responsible for innovative, strategic initiatives within The Hagerman Group including: Green Building Commitment, Diversity Initiative, Institutionalized Learning and Forum for the Future, an innovation incubator. Previously, Dave was Executive Vice President of Preconstruction for GDH. Dave is active with WFYI’s Community Advisory Council, Indiana Construction Roundtable’s Mentor/Protégé Advisory Board, Lafayette Chamber’s Green Business Initiative and the US Green Building Council.

 

Terry Greene
President, GDH


Terry joined GDH, the construction management subsidiary of The Hagerman Group, in 1989. From the outset Terry served as a Vice President directing the construction of Indianapolis’ Circle Centre Mall. In 1995, he was promoted to Executive Vice President of GDH. Recently promoted to the role of President of GDH, Terry is responsible for all GDH operations. A 35-year construction veteran, Terry is a board member of the Indiana Construction Association and Rebuilding Together, an elder of Second Presbyterian Church and a member of Indiana Sports Corp. and the US Green Building Council.

 

Rick Hawkins
Corporate Safety Director, The Hagerman Group


With more than 25 years experience in construction safety, Rick oversees corporate safety for all three companies in The Hagerman Group. Since Rick came on board in 2004, The Hagerman Group’s Lost Time Injury Rate has declined to its current outstanding rate of 0.00 hours of lost time considering 800,000 man-hours worked in 2008. Rick encourages a positive safety culture among all employees both on and off jobsites. He serves on the Safety Committee for the Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana and is a member of the Indiana Construction Association and the Metro Indianapolis Coalition for Construction Safety. Rick is also active with United Cerebral Palsy, NFL Alumni and the American Cancer Society.

 
Jeff Schroeder

Jeff Schroeder
Exec. VP, GDH


Jeff joined GDH, the construction management subsidiary of The Hagerman Group, as an Estimator immediately after graduation, working his way up to Project Engineer, then to Project Manager. After 18 years with GDH, he moved on to a commercial development firm where he became Director of Construction. In 2007, Jeff was welcomed back to The Hagerman Group in the position of Executive Vice President of GDH to oversee construction operations. He has 26 years experience in the construction and real estate industry and 20 years with Hagerman. Jeff is a member of the Fishers Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce Leadership Exchange. He is also involved with Junior Achievement of Central Indiana and Rebuilding Together.

 

Lavon Goebel
Director of Masonry Operations, The Hagerman Group


At the age of 14 Lavon began in the field of masonry as a hod carrier. He worked many years as a Masonry Field Superintendent before joining The Hagerman Group as Director of Masonry Operations in 1992. In this role Lavon works closely with Evan Sutton, Director of Masonry Operations in Indianapolis, overseeing all masonry bids and projects for The Hagerman Group. Lavon has worked in the field of masonry for 55 years and has been with Hagerman for 17 years.

 

Gary Smith
VP, GDH


Gary has been with GDH for all of his 31 years in the industry. Promoted to the role of Vice President in 2006, Gary serves as the project executive over various construction management projects, with a focus on preconstruction. A Registered Professional Engineer, Gary is a member of the American Society of Professional Engineers and the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. Over the years Gary has assisted in the childcare ministry at East 91st Street Christian Church, coached Noblesville youth sports and served as a mentor in Wayne Township Schools’ Helping One Student To Succeed (HOSTS) program.

 

Mike Holtkamp
VP of Project Management, GDH


Mike has 23 years of construction experience and 21 with The Hagerman Group. After several years as a Project Manager and then a Sr. Project Manager for GDH, he was promoted to the role of Vice President. Today Mike serves as the project executive over various construction management projects, from preconstruction through construction. Mike is involved with Indiana Construction Association and serves on the Planning & Facilities Committees for both Roncalli High School and Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church.

 

Brian Hoeppner
Director of Field Operations, Hagerman Inc.


Brian began with Hagerman in 1981 as an Apprentice Carpenter and worked his way up from Journeyman to Foreman to Project Superintendent to Director of Field Operations for Hagerman, Inc. In this role, Brian is responsible for the successful completion of all projects performed by Hagerman Inc. Active in his community, Brian is serving his third term as a Maumee Township Trustee. A retired Assistant Fire Chief, Brian was active for 15 years on the local volunteer fire department and has served on several community boards and committees for East Allen Co. Schools, Woodburn Lutheran Schools, The History Center and Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana.

 

Molly Burns
VP of Business Development, GDH


After several years in healthcare sales, Molly joined The Hagerman Group in 1999 as a Marketing Representative. Today as Vice President of Business Development, Molly oversees business development and marketing activities primarily for GDH, the construction management subsidiary of The Hagerman Group. Molly is a Cub Scout den leader and serves on the board of the Baxter YMCA. She is also the Education Chair for the Indiana Construction Association, on the Membership Committee for the Indiana Construction Roundtable and a Past-President of the Indiana Chapter of the Society of Marketing Professional Services.

 

John Kiessling
Chief Estimator, Hagerman Construction Corp.


John began at Hagerman 18 years ago as a college intern before working his way up from Carpenter to Assistant Field Engineer to Project Manager to Estimator to his present role as Chief Estimator. John oversees estimating for Hagerman Construction and Hagerman Inc. projects in northeast Indiana, with a specific responsibility for pre-bid costing. John is on the Board of Directors as well as the Membership and Government Affairs Committees for the Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana. He is also involved with the American Heart Association.

 

Evan Sutton
Director of Masonry Operations, Hagerman Construction Corp., Indianapolis


Evan was a bricklayer for seven years before joining Hagerman’s masonry team in 1995. Due to his diligence on the job, Evan quickly moved up to Estimator then Project Manager. In 2005, he was named to his current position overseeing the Indianapolis Masonry Department. Evan has 20 years of masonry experience and 13 years with Hagerman. He is a Trustee for the Bricklayers District Council Apprentice Training & Journeyman Retraining & Education Fund, a board member for the local Bricklayers Joint Apprentice Training Program, a judge for the Bricklayers State Apprenticeship Contest and is active in Skills USA’s Indiana Vocational Training Program. He is also a Bronze Certified Coach for the Indiana State Wrestling Association.

 

Theresa Lanning
Director of Finance, The Hagerman Group


Theresa joined the Hagerman team in 2008 as a 20-year veteran in construction finance. Her fresh perspective and innovative solutions stem from her experience as a CFO coupled with experience as a Sage Timberline office consultant. Theresa’s responsibilities include supervising accounting personnel, recommending changes in processes and implementing technology solutions that add value to the company’s management information system. Theresa is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association as well as the Timberline Users Group.

 

Richard E. Sutorius
Controller, Hagerman Inc
Controller, GDH


Following in the footsteps of his father, Dick Sutorius, who worked 40 years for Hagerman, Rich is in his 27th year with The Hagerman Group. Rich’s first years with the company were spent in Hagerman Construction Corp.’s purchasing department. Today, Rich handles all financial operations for both GDH and Hagerman Inc. He additionally serves as Secretary for Hagerman Construction Corp. Rich is a member of Timberline National Users Group and Sons of the American Legion. He is also a longtime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and is active in the Senior Choir.

 

Troy Heisler
Controller, Hagerman Construction Corp


Troy spent 10 years in public accounting specializing in the construction industry before joining The Hagerman Group in 2003. Troy currently serves as the Controller and Treasurer and is responsible for the financial operations of Hagerman Construction Corporation. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), the Assistant Treasurer for Anthony Wayne Rotary of Fort Wayne, and a school board member for Emmanuel St. Michael Lutheran School in Fort Wayne. Over the years, Troy has participated and been involved with various MDA, Junior Achievement, and American Heart Association events. He is a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.
